On Friday, June 16, 2023, at approximately 9:56 p.m., Blaine County Sheriff’s deputies were notified that a driver involved in a crash at an unknown location was being taken to the Carey Rural Fire Dept. for transport to the hospital for his injuries.
The crash was later determined to have occurred on Little Wood Reservoir Rd. in Carey, Idaho. Crash scene investigation determined that a 1998 silver Buick Le Sabre over-steered around a slight right curve, went off the roadway, hitting a wooden pole, a barbed wire fence, and vegetation.
The driver, a 17-year-old juvenile male, was later cited for Driving at a Speed Greater Than is Reasonable and Prudent for Conditions, I.C. 49-654(1). The Buick Le Sabre sustained substantial damages in the crash.
