On Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at approximately 9:43 p.m., a Blaine County Sheriff’s deputy on patrol initiated a traffic stop on State Highway 75 near Gimlet (milepost 124).
Upon investigation, Teresa Kimberly Ann Owen, age 35 of Sun Valley, Idaho, was arrested and charged with misdemeanor Driving Under the Influence, I.C. 18-8004(1)(A)(M), and misdemeanor Possession of an Open Container of Alcohol in a Vehicle, I.C. 23-505-(2). Owen was transported to the Blaine County Detention Center.
During an inventory of her purse in the booking process, a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia were found. Owen was additionally charged with felony Possession of a Controlled Substance -Cocaine, I.C. 37-2732(C)(1), and misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, I.C. 37-2734A(1).
Owen was arraigned in Magistrate Court on July 26, 2023, where the court ordered a combined bond of $3,000.
