On Monday, July 31, 2023, at approximately 10:41 p.m., a Blaine County Sheriff’s deputy initiated a traffic stop on U.S. Highway 20 near milepost 175, approximately 1 mile east of Stanton’s Crossing.
Upon investigation, a cooler with three large bags of marijuana, twelve containers of THC gummies, and drug paraphernalia was located in the vehicle. Matthew Gregory Bambach, age 31 of Jackson, Wyoming, the sole occupant was arrested and charged with felony Possession of a Controlled Substance – Marijuana More Than 3 oz., I.C. 37-2732 (E), and misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, I.C. 37-2734(A).
Bambach is in the custody of the Blaine County Detention Center pending arraignment in Magistrate Court Tuesday afternoon.
