On Sunday, September 3, 2023, at approximately 11:24 p.m., Blaine County Sheriff’s deputies performed a traffic stop on State Highway 75 near Alturas Rd., north of Hailey, Idaho.
Upon investigation, Jesse Santos Vercelli, age 25 of Hailey, Idaho, was arrested and charged with felony Driving Under the Influence, 18-8004(1)(A)(F), and misdemeanor Possession of an Open Container of Alcohol, 23-505(1) and cited for misdemeanor Driving Without Privileges, I.C. 18-8001.
Santos Vercelli has a DUI Withheld Judgment in 2017, and DUI Convictions in 2019, and 2021, making this his fourth DUI in ten years a felony.
Santos Vercelli was arraigned in Magistrate Court on September 5, 2023, where the court set a bond of $5,000. Santos Vercelli remains in the custody of the Blaine County Detention Center as of publication time.
